All Hallows’ Eve, a night when the dead walk among the living, the ghouls and ghosts come out to play and the haunting echoes of ‘trick or treat’ fill the air. What better reason to host a party in a 100 year old haunted house with a graveyard in the garden, the living dead as your host and each room decorated in a uniquely terrifying theme and will you dare to go into the dreaded murder basement?
This is the setting for Joburg’s most terrifying party this Halloween as 20 Hurlingham Road in Illovo is transformed into an Electronic Music Festival like no other on Saturday the 31st of October.
2 stages will be setup to entertain the crowd as a selection of SA’s top electronic music talent including Trancemicsoul, Veranda Panda, Timo ODV, Chee and many more set the soundtrack to this eerie night. The outside Jacko Live stage will be hosted in the garden and party-goers will have the opportunity to explore the Hurlingham Hammerer’s graveyard, complete with open graves, tombstones and bodies hanging from trees. The Jacko Live Stage will run from 1pm to 7pm, after which party-goers will move to the inside stage and explore this 100 year old haunted house with a variety of haunted rooms and the dreaded murder basement where a shrine sits for the most notorious serial killers to have walked the streets of Johannesburg.
Attendees are encouraged to come dressed up to add to the Halloween experience.
Halfway into the evening the best dressed will be dubbed the Halloween King and Queen, and winners will receive a R500 Bar tab. Those who come dressed up will gain access to VIP rooms, be able to use the express que and access photos taken of them at the event.
