Based upon a famous Chinese legend, the film tells the story of Zhu Yanzhi, who chooses to disguise her female identity in order to be accepted into the country’s most prestigious male-only martial arts academy, where she immediately finds herself at odds with her superior, Liang. But soon, a stronger connection develops between the two, and as their attraction grows, so does the danger of Liang discovering Zhu’s gender.
